Full time: Hampton office-based role, with scope for remote working when appropriate

Salary: Dependent upon experience and qualifications. Salary range between £22,000 and £24,500

At Out of the Ark Music we pride ourselves in providing outstanding customer services. As we move forward with new and exciting products, we are looking for a Sales and Customer Engagement Specialist to work closely with the current team in the continued delivery of excellent customer service, as well as developing their own sales leads and building strong relationships with our end users.

We are looking for a confident, dynamic and personable team member, who is passionate about seeing music transform the lives of individuals and whole schools. You must be able to quickly, calmly and confidently address customer queries, drawing on a detailed knowledge of all of Out of the Ark Music products. You must be able to proactively offer solutions to increase customer satisfaction, leading to an increase in sales.  You need to be a self-starter and have a pro-active approach to increasing the reach of Out of the Ark and ensuring the retention of existing customers.

You will be a pro-active member of our Marketing and Customer Engagement Team, supporting sales and customer service activities right across the Out of the Ark and subscription service product range; with specific responsibility for Out of the Ark products, as well as selling to, supporting and retaining customers for our workshop offering, and harnessing and developing relationships and sales leads with Music Hubs.

We are seeking a Junior Designer/Artworker to support our wider design team across our Publishing, Marketing and Education departments. Working with our Senior Designer and Mid-Weight Designer you will be producing effective and engaging design across a broad range of projects including physical product (book & CD), marketing, advertising, web and social media. You will be eager to learn and develop your design skills, whilst bringing ideas, energy and enthusiasm to any design task you are involved with. You will be confident about your design choices and be able to communicate them to team members. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to produce work to required deadlines and will be happy to communicate progress.

If you love colourful design, have a keen eye for detail, are organised, practical and creative, this could be the job for you!

You will be an excellent communicator and have some experience using InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop, and will be eager to learn more! You might be an illustrator who is keen to expand their skillset. You will have an appreciation of good typography. Sketch and After Effects skills are a bonus but not essential.

MID-WEIGHT DESIGNER, MARKETING

You are an ambitious, conceptual designer full of creative energy and positivity!

As a Mid-Weight Designer, you will be at the heart of design, creativity and output within the Marketing Team, whilst still being part of our wider Design Team. You will bring ideas, energy and solid design skills to any task, from concept development to implementation. You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and help shape how our customers see our brand.

In consultation with our Head of Marketing and Senior Designer you’ll be responsible for creative design across a broad range of marketing projects including print communication, advertising, design for web, social media assets, animations and supporting concept development for video/photo shoots.

You’ll see a marketing design project from concept, design, production, completion and delivery in collaboration with the wider Design team, ensuring the Company’s brand identity standards, ethos and guidelines are maintained.

You’ll be able to deliver projects in a timely manner proactively and sometimes reactively and you’ll be keen to be up to date with the latest design trends. You will interrogate and challenge thinking, in a positive way, that brings creative flair to all our marketing comms.

Along with our Senior Designer, you will help manage a Junior Designer/Artworker who will be working across all departments.

You will have excellent InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop skills with a keen eye for detail and typography. After Effects skills are desirable but not crucial. Some experience of web design using Sketch would be beneficial plus an understanding of UI/UX good practice. A solid understanding of the printing process is also required. You should have at least 4 years’ experience in a design role.
