Fabulous music

By FarmerJoe

This show was excellently performed by our local primary school and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. It's just a shame that the school wouldn't consider recording a CD of the children singing as the music and their sweet little voices make fantastic easy-listening festive music!

highly recommended

This musical worked most effectively with the whole school and we were able to produce an impressive show using all the school ranging from reception to Year 6.There is a wide variety of musical styles and we were able to allocate a song to each class. The Year 6 loved the Angel Rap but were also challenged by other songs. Unlike many works written for Junior Schools, the score is well written and includes interesting rhythms and harmonies which kept me sane during the many hours of rehearsal!

Absolutely Fantastic!

By Nelly2b2

What a wonderful story! The songs, in particular, were excellent - loved by everyone. We were able to incorporate ages 4 to 16 in the play - about 20 kids in total from our Sunday School groups. We did edit the story line a little (e.g. did away with the two robbers). The play is full of puns and jokes which had the audience in stitches, the songs were catchy and fun. We added our own actions to the songs (e.g. the Can Can to 'Simply The Best' (Eggs in Town) ... and we did the last song as an enchore, and apart from the kids thoroughly enjoying it, the costumes being easy to arrange, and it being suitable for a wide age-range, we managed it all in only 4 Saturday morning rehearsals! The crowd loved it, and it set a wonderful tone for the rest of our Christmas Celebrations at church. Thank you for an excellent play - I'm sure now we will be adding something at Easter ...

Great songs!

By BB

I did this play with 1st class (ages 6/7) and I found the songs were really good and catchy and the children absolutely LOVED them! The storyline was good and the children didn't lose interest as they often do. I have to say however that I think the dialogue in the play was a little inappropriate in some places- quite sarcastic/ a lot of the humour intended for adults so I did edit it a bit. Other than that I would recommend it as overall it is very good.
