About Poetry Emotion

The 50 poems in the Poetry Emotion are organised under 15 topic-based chapters, providing the ideal vehicle to address social and emotional values with 7 - 11 year olds.

Poetry Emotion is aimed at helping children to develop meaningful skills for living. This collection of exclusive poems about emotions will stimulate observation and deep thinking, enabling children to affirm their own individuality, express a wide range of feelings and emotions and ultimately gain a deep sense of belonging.

Poetry Emotion can be used with great effect in collective worship, and is also related to English, PSHE and RE in the classroom. Each poem comes with introductory suggestions for ways in which the topics can be unpacked.
